DRESSCAN

DRESSCAN is a project focused on the dress as the protagonist of the creative process, developed as an audio/video installation.

This project is an exploration based on the concrete elements of the dress and, through the perceptive state of sounds and images, extends to a multisensory experience that transposes the dress itself into a dimension beyond matter.

For the realisation of DRESSCAN, the artists themselves developed the EXTRAscan device, a kind of scanner which, through the projection of a bar of light, is able to read the characteristics of a garment relating to the pattern construction, material, size, colour, processing details and translate them in real time into sounds and images.
